The countdown to the 2025 GAA Rounders season has officially begun with the release of the updated Master Fixtures List. Teams across the country are gearing up for what promises to be an exciting and competitive season, with key events, including the Senior Finals, highlighted in the calendar.
The 2025 season kicks off on May 4th with the first round of Junior and Intermediate Fixtures, setting the stage for the season. The Senior Fixtures will begin the following week on May 11th, as clubs prepare for the intense battles ahead. With many rising teams and defending champions eager to claim top honours, the competition will be fierce.
Breaffy GAA will be looking to defend their Senior Mixed and Senior Ladies titles after an outstanding 2024 campaign. The team is determined to retain their crown, but they’ll face fierce competition from Erne Eagles, who will be aiming to dominate the Men’s Senior category after a strong performance last year. Also, Carrickmacross will be looking to win back the Men’s Senior title after an impressive campaign in recent seasons. These teams will all be front-runners in the competition, but with several clubs moving up in grades after excellent performances in 2024, it will be interesting to see how these rising teams challenge the established powers.
Another exciting addition to the Senior ranks this year are Raheen and Kilmeena, both of whom will be stepping up to Senior after their respective All-Ireland Intermediate victories in 2024. These teams have earned their place in the Senior division and will be keen to show their capabilities on a higher stage.
With the addition of Raheen and Kilmeena to the Senior ranks, alongside defending champions Breaffy and Erne Eagles, plus the determined Carrickmacross, Cuchulainn, Glynn Barntown, Limekiln, Michael Glaveys, and St Kevin’s, the 2025 season is set to offer up a thrilling mix of competition, drama, and excitement. It will be interesting to see how these teams adjust to the new challenges they face at the Senior level and who will come out on top.
