Championship week 8

Our final game week kicked off on Tuesday the 3rd. Our current senior Men champions hosted Limekiln of Dublin. A draw game for the first and second innings, due to some fine fielding from Damien Keane & Shane Murtagh. The Dublin side pulled away, with the help of Adas Bastys, who scored two home runs. Laois' James Kavanagh, was the only player never put out from either side, while Limekiln's James Dillon was top scorer for this game. Final result 29-20.

For the final day of game week 8, Sean Connollys hosted Erne Eagles in Men & Mixed. Erne Eagles Men finished their season the way they began it, with a comfortable win. Gary Reilly had an outstanding game as Pitcher. Match result 21-6.

The Mixed game was rescheduled due to an injury sustained by a Sean Connolly player. Thursday evening was the date for the replay, Eagles had another comfortable win, with the help of smart batting from Una Brady & Daryl Dolan. Game ended 46-2.
